Online Banking Security

Our security team at First Bank uses state-of-the-art technology which was developed to safeguard data through encryption or coding of information. This technology will protect your account and personal information so you feel secure banking from your computer at home, on the road, or at work.

Password Protection Multiple layers of advanced security tools including cryptography, firewalls and trusted operating systems are used to prevent tampering and ensure the privacy of your account information.
We use 128-bit encryption, the most powerful encryption protection available for Internet transactions. This scrambles the message so that it cannot be deciphered if it is intercepted.
You may be required to upgrade your browser to support 128-bit encryption to allow online banking with First Bank.

Information Privacy Once a request arrives at the bank, the server is protected by a series of firewalls and filtering routers which verify the source and destination of the requests traveling in information packets. The firewall is set up to reject any unauthorized traffic. This reemphasizes the importance of the password, which provides the only legitimate entry into the program. The purpose of the router is to keep out traffic that does not emanate from one of the only two legitimate ends of a secured transaction: the customer or the bank.

Your Responsibility

First Bank cannot be responsible for customer errors or negligent use of the service. You are responsible for keeping your online password, account numbers, personal identification information, and other account data confidential.

These security measures ensure that your transactions are secure over the Internet.
