Our security team at First Bank of Conroe uses
state-of-the-art technology which was developed
to safeguard data through encryption or coding
of information. This technology will protect
your account and personal information so you feel
secure banking from your computer at home, on
the road, or at work.
Password Protection:
The first level of protection is through the use
of personal passwords. When you sign up
for online banking using QuickConnect at First
Bank of Conroe, you will be required to use a
username and password (also called your PIN) for
secure login. When you sign on, you do so
on an encrypted page. Remember to sign off
when you're done. If your session becomes
inactive, it will automatically become terminated
and you will be required to sign on again to bank
online.
No one at the bank will know your password.
Only you will know it and keeping it private is
essential to the security process. You should
not share your password and you should change
it frequently.
Transmission: Multiple
layers of advanced security tools including cryptography,
firewalls and trusted operating systems are used
to prevent tampering and ensure the privacy of
your account information.
We use 128-bit encryption, the most powerful encryption
protection available for Internet transactions.
This scrambles the message so that it cannot be
deciphered if it is intercepted.
You may be required to upgrade your browser to
support 128-bit encryption to allow online banking
with First Bank of Conroe.
Information Privacy: Firewalls
and Filtering Routers
Finally, once requests arrive at the bank, the
server is protected by a series of firewalls and
filtering routers which verify the source and
destination of the requests traveling in information
packets. The firewall is set up to reject any
unauthorized traffic. This reemphasizes the importance
of the password, which provides the only legitimate
entry into the program. The purpose of the router
is to keep out traffic that does not emanate from
one of the only two legitimate ends of a secured
transaction: the customer or the bank.
Your Responsibility
First Bank of Conroe cannot be responsible for
customer errors or negligent use of the service.
You are responsible for keeping your online password,
account numbers, personal identification information,
and other account data confidential.
These security measures ensure that your
transactions are secure over the Internet.
